Kerala Monsoon and Tourism

The south Indian state of Kerala is one of the most tourist frequented places of India. Known as ‘The God’s own country’,
this beautiful state is the ultimate destination for tourists seeking varied experiences during their holiday. From pristine silvery beaches to cool hill stations, breathtaking backwaters to the rich cultural temples, adventurous wildlife sanctuaries (See more...)to ancient heritage structures, Kerala tourism has something to offer to all categories of tourists. Be it the ones with the adventurous bones or the nature lover, a family on holiday or a honeymooning couple, college friends or office colleagues, Kerala tourism has a destination and lots of activities for all of them. Some of the popular holiday destinations in Kerala are Alappuzha, Bekal, Fort Kochi, Kovalam, Kumarakom, Munnar, Thekkady, Varkala, Wayanad, Alleppey etc. (Visit...) These destinations are known for their natural beauty, diversity of attractions, welcoming nature of the people, and the unique comforting experience that it offers to its visitors. Nowhere on earth can one find an amalgamation of so many attractions, different landmass from coast to plains to hill stations and such breathtaking natural beauty. Hence it is not for any simple or ordinary reason it is called the ‘God’s own country’.

The monsoons in Kerala add more to the charm of the place. Kerala monsoon and tourism go very well together due to the romance it adds to the beauty of nature so vibrant in the state. Unlike other places, the monsoons in Kerala are not so intense. It does not witness incessant continuous rainfall but occasional showers accompanied by sunshine, which makes the atmosphere all the more beautiful and intense for a perfect holiday. Rains do not hamper any tourist activities in Kerala much, thus enabling the tourists to continue with their fun. Kerala monsoon and tourism is the perfect amalgamation of beauty and serenity. The enhanced greenery during the monsoon season is a treat for the eyes while you are touring the beautiful countryside of the state. The beaches, the backwaters, the paddy fields, the hill slopes, everything brightens during the monsoon season magnifying the beauty of the place.

Kerala tourism (view more..) is also famous for its various spas and massage therapies and ayurvedic centres. People come here from all over the world to treat themselves to some rejuvenating massages and ayurvedic treatments. According to ayurveda, monsoon is the best time for rejuvenation therapies. Thus it would be perfect to visit Kerala during monsoons to treat yourself to that perfect spa and ayurvedic treatment. The dust free and cool atmosphere of the monsoons opens up the pores of the body thus enabling the body to receive the herbal oils and therapy more properly and intensely. This magnifies the effect of the treatment letting you take full advantage of the process. The months of June and July are considered to be the best for ayurvedic treatments. Thus it would be a great idea to visit Kerala during the monsoon to enjoy the enhanced beauty of nature and enjoy a fully effective ayurvedic treatment (go to site)                         .
