Cherai tourist attractions


Lovingly called as the god’s own country, Kerala stands in the front lists in India tourism
as it never steps back in presenting its top tourist attractions. 

It is a natural destination situated in Ernakulam district and is well known for its pristine white sandy beaches among which Cherai remains to one among them. 

The village is located at about 25 kilometers from Cochin and 30 kilometers from Cochin International Airport. The nearest train station is Aluva railway station which is at a distance of 20 kilometers from the beach. It is a great place of tourist interest and is a most visited destination in Kerala as it is a major attraction of Kerala tourism. There are numerous tourist attractions around the place among which some of the major ones are discussed below.


Cherai Beach
Fondly called as “The princess of the Arabian Sea”, Cherai beach is one of the must visit destination of the village and it is the largest beach of the south India state, Kerala. The beach is situated on the northern end of the Vypeen Island and is at a distance of only 30 kilometers from the Kochi. 

The beach stretches up to 10 kilometers and this clean white sandy beach is also an ideal picnic spot for romantic couples, honeymooners and families. A visit is an opportunity for you to explore the Dolphins at their best. You can also experience other water activities like swimming, Angling, boating sea going and many more.
