Kerala history

The history of Kerala has numerous amazing aficionados
you can find them from the ancient stone caves, the existing paintings in the stones, ancient places, pictorial writings and manuscripts. 

It mainly goes back to more than several millennia and the historical places like Edakkal caves  has pictorial writings that are believed to have last at least 5000 BC that is probably during the Neolithic man’s age. The existences of the Stone Age carvings show presences of prehistoric civilization which indicates that the old civilization took place here in this region.


Through study from various historical remains and existing relics and other portrays shows Kerala from the early days on it has been doing quite well in trade and travel industry.

It was during the early 3000 BC that the state was established as one of the major spice trade center and has numerous direct links with numerous countries across the Arabian with all the major Red Sea ports and the Mediterranean ports including those ports in the far east has also fantastic trade link with India through the Cochin natural port. 

Thus the Cochin port so called the natural harbor port was adorned and praise by many merchants and in fact it was known and declared by all travelers as one of the finest natural harbor ports of the world. Trading spice was one of the first idea and the first means to attract the attention of the people and was one of the major economic builder of the state and the country and so from the very beginning as per the study of history the port of Cochin was noted to be one of the busiest ports and the busiest site among all trade and travel routes in the history of the world.

Besides these Kerala also has a rich background in various fields, it has great beginning both in culture, tradition and other things too. A brief inscription about the main origin and the history of ruling power and the European culture influence to this site comes from the very beginning of the past 3rd century. 

About the ruling administration the history of the state can be seen from the rock inscription of 3rdcentury BC by the great emperor Asoka the great. But trading was started from the early 1 BC in the region during the time of Chera Dynasty who traded with the Greeks, the Romans and the Arabs, though the state was taken position by one ruler to other and it was pass on from one generation to other rulers have faded by history remains and trading too flourish from one parts and one corner to the other.

And it was during the struggle between the colonial and the native interests that the British fortunately or unfortunately face with the arrival of Vasco de Gama and slowly took position of the state and country by and by. 

Thus the history of Kerala is also very much connected to the history of India because it is one of the area or the main route cause region where you will find the reason and answer where, how and why the country of India was captured under the dominion of the foreign rulers. So if you wish to have deeper knowledge about the country of India Kerala is the core center for historical research. It is one of the hottest historical sites where you will find a good number of historical legends here.
